Texas City Police Association is a professional association dedicated to supporting, protecting, and advocating for the men and women who serve on the Texas City Police Department. Founded and based in Texas City, Texas, we bring together active officers, retired officers, professional staff, and community partners to advance officer wellness, public safety, and the highest standards of professional law enforcement.

We are proud to serve Texas City, a city of approximately 50,000 people nestled along Galveston Bay, known for its industrial strength, tight-knit neighborhoods, rich history, and enduring community pride. Texas City has long been a place where hardworking people build meaningful lives, and our association stands alongside the officers who protect and serve that community every day.

Texas City is a community shaped by resilience. From the historic 1947 Texas City Disaster — one of the deadliest industrial accidents in U.S. history — to the challenges of Gulf Coast hurricanes and flooding, this community has faced adversity head-on and emerged stronger each time. The Phoenix, which serves as a symbol for the city, reflects what Texas City has always been: a place that rises.

Today, Texas City is a growing, evolving community. The city’s parks, recreation programs, museums, and public gathering spaces like the new 6th Street Community Plaza reflect a local government and citizenry deeply committed to quality of life. The city has earned international recognition for its communications and community engagement, and its annual events — from the Hurricane Town Hall to 409 Day to the Snow Spectacular — reflect a community that celebrates together and prepares together.
