President's Message

Message from the President

On behalf of the Texas City Municipal Police Association, welcome and thank you for visiting our website.

The last several years have tested our officers in ways many people may never fully see. Our members have continued to serve this community through staffing shortages, increased demands, long hours, and difficult challenges both professionally and personally. Through it all, they have continued to answer the call with dedication, resilience, and professionalism.

TCMPA exists for one purpose: to stand beside the men and women who protect Texas City.

Since 1963, our association has served as a voice for officers and a foundation of support for those who dedicate their lives to public safety. We are committed to advocating for fair treatment, safe working conditions, professional integrity, transparency, and accountability at every level. We believe that supporting officers and supporting the community go hand in hand.

Over the last two years, our association has worked tirelessly to ensure our members are heard. We have advocated for fair wages, transparency in policy and disciplinary processes, improved working conditions, and protections that allow officers to perform their duties with professionalism and dignity. Most importantly, we have remained united during some of the most difficult moments our department has faced.

This association is more than a labor organization. It is a brotherhood and sisterhood built on service, sacrifice, and the belief that no officer should ever stand alone.

To our members, your families, and the citizens who continue to support us: thank you. Your trust, encouragement, and belief in what we stand for have strengthened this association and reinforced why this work matters.

We remain committed to moving forward together—focused on professionalism, fairness, and building a stronger future for both our officers and the community we proudly serve.

Respectfully,

Rachael Spahr

President
